Description

Convert an object to UINT8 format. Identical to deprecated byte and char.

Arguments and Return Values

Arguments: Any three dimensional numeric array

Return Value: The array converted into uint8 (0 - 255)

Usage

Syntax: uint8(object = VAL)

The uint8() function copies and converts an object to uint8 format. Any values above or below the maximum representable values of 0, 255 are set to the nearest representable value. This function is equivalent to format(object=VAL, format=uint8).

All values are truncated.
