Description

Emissivity is defined as the wavelength (or wave-number) dependent ratio of energy radiated (see radiance for more information) by a non-energy-generating material to that radiated by a black body of the same temperature. Since emissivity is a ratio, it has values from 0.0 to 1.0, where any value outside this range is physically impossible.

THEMIS radiance data can be converted to emissivity by thm.themis_emissivity.
